Acupuncture: Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture is a treatment derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine and involves inserting sterile needles into specific points on the body that are determined by tongue and pulse diagnosis, health history and current health signs and symptoms.
Acupuncture stimulates the ‘Qi’ (pronounced chi) of the specific meridian the point is located on. The Qi can become blocked and not flow properly which can lead to various health problems/conditions and can also cause pain. Stimulating these points helps to regulate the system and restore the energy flow of the body.
Acupuncture is beneficial for:
chronic pain
sports medicine
musculoskeletal conditions
PMS
menstrual disorders
digestive disorders
sleep disorders
mood disorders
anxiety
