Chelation Support

At Lococo Wellness Clinic, we offer an adjunctive, gentle approach to chelation support. Our clinic uses High-Dose Intravenous Vitamin C (HDIVC) and Glutathione as **weak chelation** options—aiming to support antioxidant defences, redox balance, and natural detoxification pathways.

This service is not a replacement for emergency care or toxicology management. We do not provide pharmaceutical chelators on site.

What we mean by “weak chelation”

“Weak” or gentle chelation refers to supportive strategies that may bind or neutralize certain reactive species and assist the body’s own elimination processes without using prescription chelating drugs. In our clinic, this support is provided with HDIVC and glutathione IVs, sequenced cautiously and adjusted to individual tolerance.

  • 🧭 Patients seeking an adjunctive, conservative option to support antioxidant status and detox pathways
  • 📋 Individuals wanting structured monitoring with recent labs and stepwise care
  • 🚫 Not for acute poisoning: urgent or severe heavy-metal toxicity requires hospital-based toxicology care

HDIVC & Glutathione (Gentle Support)

High-Dose Vitamin C IV (HDIVC)

Supports the body’s antioxidant network and redox balance. Dosing is individualized and based on lab review and tolerance. Screening for G6PD is required prior to higher dosing.

Glutathione IV

Administered separately from vitamin C. Used clinically to support phase-2 conjugation and antioxidant defences as part of an overall detoxification strategy.

Sequencing & Monitoring

We start low and adjust gradually. Sessions are spaced and reassessed regularly; frequency and duration vary by presentation, goals, and tolerance.

Required blood work before IVs

Recent blood work (ideally within the last 6 weeks) is required to ensure safety and appropriate dosing:

  • CBC
  • Electrolytes & kidney function (including eGFR)
  • Liver function (including GGT & LD)
  • G6PD (mandatory for higher-dose vitamin C)
  • Vitamin B12 & Vitamin D
  • Ferritin & Iron Panel
  • Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Potassium
  • Lipid Profile & Homocysteine
  • Amylase & Lipase
  • hs-CRP & Creatine Kinase
  • eGFR (kidney) — if not already captured above
  • Thyroid Panel: TSH, T3, T4

You may request requisitions from your primary provider; if that is not possible, our clinic can arrange requisition at a cost paid by the patient.

Important considerations

  • 🧪 Initial consultation and recent labs are required prior to IV therapy
  • 🤝 We tailor session timing and dosing to your clinical picture and tolerance
  • 🏥 We do not provide prescription chelators (e.g., EDTA, DMSA) at this clinic

Not a fit for

  • Acute heavy-metal poisoning or emergencies — seek hospital-based care
  • Patients without recent blood work or those unable to complete required screening
  • Expectations of guaranteed results — individual responses vary

Optimizing Your Care Plan

A structured plan helps ensure that each phase of care—from assessment to treatment—is tailored to your individual needs.

1) Assess

  • Comprehensive history and exposure review
  • Recent blood work review and suitability screening
  • Goal setting and session planning

2) Sequence

  • Introduce HDIVC and glutathione cautiously (administered separately)
  • Adjust dose and spacing as tolerated
  • Reassess at intervals; update plan as needed
